Richard Serour: born March 8, 1965.
I was born in Montreal Quebec and lived all my life in Ville Saint Laurent. I went to elementary school, high school, and CEGEP in St-Laurent. I graduated from Montreal’s Concordia University with a bachelor’s of Commerce major in administrative management and minor in marketing. I currently reside in St-Laurent with my wife, three teenage sons, and 75 lbs. Bernice Mountain dog Jesse!
We are a big hockey family. Growing up, I played hockey for St-Laurent, and today my three sons carry on that tradition as elite St-Laurent hockey players themselves.
In the late 90s early 2000’s I worked as a radio talk show host for Montreal‘s #1 English language talk radio station CJAD 800. I did a three hour daily radio call in show where in less than one year I was able to triple the station’s listenership. I was also an opinion columnist for Montreal‘s #1 English language weekly newspaper the suburban.
For the last 20 years I’ve been CEO of the Canadian Immigration Council, one of Canada’s oldest and most reputable immigration consultancies. As a regulated immigration consultant, my team of lawyers, consultants, and other experienced professionals, have been hard at work helping Canadians with any and all of their immigration issues. Whether it be reuniting Canadians with their families from abroad, or helping them sponsor family members or helping them bring in their relatives from other countries to visit, study, or work in Canada, Richard Serour is well known as one of this country’s leading authorities and advocates in the area of Canadian immigration and citizenship.
I am fluent in four languages… English, French, Arabic, and Hebrew. I have lived in St-Laurent for over 40 years and look forward to representing the fine citizens of ‘St-Laurent when I am elected as their member of Parliament!
